Show kindness to closely 600 children in need

This is the main building of Dom Aniołów Stróżów (Guardian Angels’ Home) in Southern Poland. Our association offers daily care and support to hundreds of children across the Silesia and Zagłębie regions in Poland where some kids and youth grow up surrounded by poverty, instability, and emotional neglect.

Many come from broken homes affected by financial hardship, addiction, violence, or deep emotional struggles. Without stable relationships or supportive adults, they slowly lose hope for a better future.

They need psychological support, therapy, educational assistance, and often medical care, but most importantly, an adult who listens, who is by their side no matter what. This is why our charity runs 8 facilities over 3 cities and takes care of nearly 600 children from 3 to 18 each year.

Whom do we help?

Marysia was 7 when she came to us. She grew up in difficult conditions with her single mother, without stability, regular meals, or support. Despite working tirelessly, her mother couldn’t change their situation. One evening, everything changed—her mother suddenly fell ill and passed away.

To keep Marysia out of foster care, her grandmother took her in. Though loving, she is ill and struggles financially, so she cannot meet all of Marysia’s needs.

Igor has been with us since he was 3 years old. He spends several hours with us every day—our Home is his whole world. Here, he learned to speak and write, and now he is learning everyday life skills and how to function in society.

He needs ongoing therapy and regular dental care. At the same time, he eagerly builds all kinds of constructions with blocks, developing his creativity and talent.

We often saw Daria around the neighborhood—always on her own. At home she quickly learned that the best thing to do is not to disturb adults and to stay out of the way.

When she first came to us, she kept her distance and observed from afar. We help her build relationships, express her needs, and enjoy being a child again. She is discovering that she actually matters.

What can $26 do?

Summer should taste like ice cream and sound like laughter — not feel like loneliness. Every child deserves days filled with joy, not the quiet sadness of watching others create memories they can’t have.

That’s why they need you. Together, we can give hundreds of children access to free, meaningful activities — trips, small adventures, and simple moments that stay with them for a lifetime. For Children’s Day, we’ve launched a fundraiser to make this possible. Because beyond therapy and daily support, children need something more — lightness, happiness, and space to just be kids.

$26 buys:

  • ice cream for 10 children
  • a coach ride to the mountains
  • a cinema ticket and a chocolate treat
  • much more

Sometimes, it takes just a small amount to create a big, lasting memory.

We encourage you to verify us!

We invite you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and to visit our website or just to Google us. Take a moment to learn more about us — see the children we support and discover what we’ve been doing for over 30 years in Southern Poland.

We help children because it’s at the heart of our mission. But none of this would be possible without our incredible donors — people who choose kindness, who reach out and share what they have with those in need.

Join us in changing the lives of children growing up in challenging environments in Poland.
